These two self-sufficient houses obtain the photovoltaic energy and water heating from solar panels. Rain water from the flat covers and the roofs is collected for domestic use. The thick northern façade is a protection from strong winter winds. The orientation and strategic eaves prevent harsh summer solar exposure and enables winter sun to enter the house fulfilling basic principles of bioclimatic architecture.
